Video Tutorials for Using Audacity

Podcasting with Audacity
Podcasting is a great tool for communicating with students and parents. It can also be used to record lessons for abset students, for student reviews, or front loading of information!
With Audacity you can record directly to the program, or upload/import other sound bites. You can edit, cut, or merge sound files and much, much more!! Anytime I want to learn how to do something with Audacity, I run straight to YouTube and search for a video that will walk me step by step through the process!
I've linked a few videos on the right to help you get started!
Note: Audacity is ALREADY downloaded on EVERY JISD computer and ready to go. Look under the Start menu and Programs. If it's not there, send in a TroubleTrakker and one of the guys will set it up pretty easily!

While Audacity is a fabulous tool, with LOTS of bells and whistles, it can become a bit overwhelming! Record MP3 simplifies audio recording!
http://www.recordmp3.org/ allows you to record directly to the site using your computers microphone. You can listen to the recording and rerecord or just save the file and go. There aren't near as many steps!
Use these tools to store your podcasts and share them with your classes. You can create classroom accounts to share with others.
